Description
The RM 011 occupies foundational status within Richard Mille’s catalog. Launched in 2007 as the manufacture’s first flyback chronograph, it was developed in collaboration with Ferrari Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa and became the commercial bedrock that established Richard Mille as a force in modern haute horology. Production continued for a decade before the RM 011 was succeeded by the RM 11-03 in 2017, making the original Felipe Massa references increasingly difficult to source on the secondary market. The rose gold and titanium execution remains among the most coveted configurations, balancing the warmth of precious metal with the brand’s signature engineering ethos.
The tripartite tonneau case measures 50 x 40 x 16.15mm with 18-karat rose gold bezel and caseback flanking a grade-5 titanium midcase, secured by titanium spline screws. The skeletonized dial reveals the automatic Caliber RMAC1 with flyback chronograph, 60-minute countdown at nine, small seconds at three, 12-hour totalizer at six, oversized date at twelve, and month aperture at four-thirty. Crafted entirely in grade-5 titanium, the movement features a variable-geometry rotor and delivers 50 hours of reserve, completed by a black rubber strap with titanium deployant clasp.
